SELINA is glad to share the project will participate in this year's EU Green Week, Europe's leading environmental conference, organised by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Environment (DG Environment).

Taking place on 3–4 June 2026 in Brussels, the 26th edition of EU Green Week will focus on the business case for nature, highlighting how a nature-positive economy can strengthen Europe's prosperity, resilience, and competitiveness. Bringing together policymakers, investors, businesses, researchers, farmers, and civil society organisations, the event will explore practical solutions to integrate nature into economic decision-making through discussions of sustainable agriculture, soil health, urban greening, innovative financing mechanisms, and biodiversity conservation.

As part of its participation, SELINA will be present with an exhibition stand on Thursday, 4 June, between 12:30 and 14:00 CET, showcasing the project's objectives, achievements, and contributions towards strengthening the science-policy-society interface for biodiversity, ecosystems, and ecosystem services. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about SELINA's work, engage with project representatives, and explore the project's tools and resources.

In addition to the Brussels conference, SELINA will also contribute to EU Green Week through an official Partner Event, which will take place during the project's 5th Workshop in Galway, Ireland, between 30 June and 2 July 2026.

The event, titled "SELINA Dialogue: Integrating Scientific Evidence into Nature-Inclusive Economic Decision-Making", will bring together researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and stakeholders to discuss how scientific knowledge on biodiversity, ecosystems, and ecosystem services can better support decision-making processes across public and private sectors. The dialogue will provide an opportunity for exchanging experiences, exploring challenges, and identifying pathways for embedding nature-related evidence into economic and policy frameworks.
