The 6th ESP Europe Conference was held between 18-22 May 2026 in Prague, Czech Republic. The event followed the 2024 one, held in Wageningen, The Netherlands. The ESP conference is organised annually, alternating between editions held in Europe and editions hosted in other parts of the world, such as the 2025 conference in Darwin, Australia

This year, the theme was “Advancing ecosystem services knowledge for achieving a nature and people positive Europe”,  bringing together scientists, policymakers, practitioners and other stakeholders to discuss how ecosystem services can support climate resilience, sustainable development and more inclusive futures across Europe.

SELINA had a strong presence throughout the event, contributing to multiple sessions, discussions, and networking activities focused on biodiversity, ecosystem services, restoration and sustainability transitions.

Project partners actively engaged with participants from across Europe, presenting approaches, sharing experiences and exploring opportunities for future collaboration within the wider ecosystem services community.

The project was also visible in the conference outreach activities, with SELINA materials featured at the Pensoft Publishers booth.

The event created a dynamic space for collaboration, discussion and exchange around ecosystem services and biodiversity across Europe, while SELINA’s participation contributed to ongoing discussions on more resilient, inclusive and nature-positive futures.
