A new SELINA-related scientific research was published in Nature-Positive Cities

A new publication was created by SELINA partners from the University of Trento. The article was published in the book ‘Nature-Positive Cities: Adaptive Spatial Planning in Italy for an Ecological Urban Transition’ as an individual book chapter.

The scientific research presents experience from the city of Trento, Italy, and explores how ecological planning strategies and nature-based solutions can strengthen climate resilience.  ‘Ecological Planning Strategies and Nature-based Solutions in the Context of Climate Change Resilience’ focuses on key climate challenges, including urban flooding, heatwaves, and thermal stress, and highlights the role of ecosystem services in addressing these risks. The research also highlights the importance of integrating ecosystem service knowledge into planning processes.

Results support the development of Trento’s Urban Greening Plan and a river restoration masterplan, contributing to climate adaptation and ecological urban transition.

The publication is available as part of the SELINA Zenodo community, ensuring open access to SELINA-supported scientific outputs.
