SELINA Workshop 6, hosted by the University of Trento, has been officially awarded the Eco-Eventi Trentino label by the Environmental Protection Agency of the Autonomous Province of Trento (APPA). 

The “Evidence-based decision-making in the public sector” workshop took place between 27 and 30 October 2025 in Trento and was hosted by the Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering (DICAM) at the University of Trento, with around 70 participants attending in person.

The Eco-Eventi Trentino label, established by the Autonomous Province of Trento, aims to encourage best practices in environmental sustainability within the events sector and, at the same time, raise ecological awareness among participants through communication activities. 

For SELINA, this certification recognises the strong environmental commitment demonstrated during the planning and delivery of the workshop, including concrete measures to reduce its environmental footprint, most notably through waste reduction, more responsible procurement, and improved event management practices.

SELINA welcomes this recognition as encouragement to continue integrating ecological responsibility into its scientific meetings and stakeholder events and remains committed to further improving its approach in future workshops.
